[Cambridge IELTS13] Writing Task1 6.5 above Sample Answer_Test1_W_Task1_p.29

If you take the IELTS test, you should go over the Cambridge Official materials.
But as you know it oddly doesn't offer enough explanation about why it is the answer or not.
And also there are sloppy and poor-quality sample answers for the writing questions.

The both maps above illustrate traffic circumstance including roads near a city hospital in 2007 and in 2010 respectively.

Looking at the first map, there were generally not many traffic roads and amenities around the hospital in 2007. Only a bunch of bus stops were situated on Hospital Road, specifically on both sides of it, right in front of the main building. Next to it, a car parking area connected to Ring Road was ready for staff and the public, as we can see. In general, there are no complicated road chains around the intersection linked with City Road.

Turning to the second map, however, the environment near the main building seemed to be changed significantly in 2010. The two roundabouts were located at the edges of Hospital Road, with an exclusive parking lot for staff right side of the road without any spot for buses. On the other side of Hospital Road, a bus station was set up independently with two accesses to the roundabouts mentioned above. Moreover, another parking area only for public was constructed right next to the hospital, leading to Ring Road which surrounds the main building.

In summary, the traffic environment and facilities especially for parking appeared to be modernized, more convenient and a little more complicated around the hospital by 2010 from 2007.
